A missing deposit involves two records: the account you paid from and the casino account that should have received it. The task is to match them. A bank app showing a reduction in available balance does not, by itself, tell you what the casino's cashier received. Start with one payment and follow its reference. Do not send another deposit to see whether the first one appears; you could create two unresolved transactions.
Record the payment as it appears at both ends
Save the time, amount, currency, payment method and transaction reference from your bank, wallet or provider. In the casino cashier, record whether the matching entry is pending, failed, cancelled or absent. Include the account currency if it differs from the payment currency. Keep the full reference for private support, but mask unrelated account details in anything you publish.
Write down any redirect or error that occurred after payment. For example, the provider may have shown a confirmation while the casino page failed to load. That is useful context, but do not decide from the page error alone whether the payment succeeded. Ask each party to identify its own recorded status.
For cards, transfers and wallets, ask for the provider status
Use the exact wording in your banking or payment app. If a card entry is pending, ask the issuer whether it is an authorisation or a completed payment and what reference can be used to trace it. If the entry is completed, ask casino support to search by amount, currency, time and provider reference. Do not attach your entire statement when a clearly identified payment is enough to begin the trace.
For a bank transfer, compare the destination and reference against the instructions you were shown. A missing or incorrect reference is a different problem from a payment rejected by the receiving bank. If an intermediary payment company appears on the statement, ask the casino whether that descriptor belongs to its provider. Do not assume an unfamiliar merchant name proves that the wrong party received the funds.
For crypto, verify the network as well as the asset
Record the asset, network, destination address and transaction hash exactly as submitted. A ticker alone is not enough: assets with similar names can exist on different networks. Compare those details with the deposit instructions preserved from the casino. Where a memo or destination tag was required, check whether it was included. Do not post a wallet secret or recovery phrase; none is needed to identify a public transaction.
Check the hash in an explorer for that network. Ethereum's transaction documentation distinguishes submission to the network from inclusion in a block. A transaction can be pending rather than completed, and a wallet's “sent” label does not answer every question about receipt. For other networks, consult the network or wallet's own explanation of status rather than applying an Ethereum confirmation count.
If the transaction appears successful at the correct destination, ask the casino which confirmations or crediting step remain outstanding. If the network or address differs, state that accurately and request a recovery assessment. Do not promise yourself that support can reverse or retrieve the transfer. Recovery depends on the actual destination and systems involved, and an explorer result is evidence of a transaction, not a universal guarantee of recoverability.
Send a trace request, not just a balance complaint
Your message should identify one missing payment, the funding-account status, the casino-account status and the reference linking them. Ask the casino to confirm whether its provider received, rejected, returned or cannot locate the transaction. If it says “contact your bank,” ask which detail is needed from the bank and what search has already been performed.
When the bank says the payment is complete and the casino says it is missing, collect both statements with dates. Ask for a written payment trace or investigation reference from the relevant provider. This helps the next support agent continue the investigation instead of repeating the first question. Keep names of the organisations involved separate from the name of an individual agent.
Specify whether you want credit or return
State the remedy you want: credit the correct casino account or return the payment if it cannot be credited. If an account restriction prevents crediting, ask how that affects the payment rather than making another account. If a return is promised, record the amount, currency and reference. A promise to return money is not yet a completed refund.
Use your payment provider's genuine dispute process if appropriate, describing the transaction truthfully. Do not label an authorised deposit as unauthorised just because a credit is missing. Where the operator's formal complaint process is needed, attach the payment trace and both parties' replies. The escalation guide helps identify the correct route without assuming that every regulator can recover a payment.
Update the case with the final location of the money
When the payment is credited or returned, confirm where it arrived, the amount and any unresolved difference. If an expected currency conversion explains a difference, identify the recorded rate or provider explanation rather than silently changing the claim. This final update makes a missing-deposit case useful to someone facing the same cashier or payment-method problem.
Questions answered
Should I deposit again while the first payment is missing?
Avoid another payment as a troubleshooting test. Trace the first transaction using its amount, time, reference and recorded status at both ends.
A crypto explorer says success. Does that prove the casino credited me?
No. It helps establish the on-chain transaction, network and destination. Ask the casino to explain the separate account-crediting step.
Can I call the payment unauthorised to get it returned?
Describe what happened accurately to your provider. An authorised payment that was not credited is a different issue from a transaction you did not authorise.
